Our Impact
Sustainable Development Goals
Aligning our business with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
is important for us, for our clients, for the climate, and for the future of Africa.
SDG 1
No Poverty
By providing affordable and efficient LPG clean cooking solutions, we empower Tanzanian households and businesses, contributing to poverty eradication by reducing energy costs and fostering economic stability.
SDG 2
Zero Hunger
Access to clean cooking means healthier meals for families. Ensuring consistent and safe energy supports proper nutrition, contributing to zero hunger in Tanzania.
SDG 3
Good Health &
Well-being
According to the WHO report of 2020, Household air pollution was responsible for an estimated 237,000 deaths of children under the age of 5. Eliminating indoor air pollution through clean cooking reduces respiratory illnesses, promoting good health and well-being among our customers and their families.
SDG 5
Gender Equality
We employ women. We provide practical skills training for women. And indirectly, when women use LPG in their households, they do not have to waste time fetching firewood and, thus, can engage in entrepreneurial activities. Our LPG clean cooking solution alleviates the burden of traditional cooking tasks, giving women more time to pursue education, work, or engage in community activities, promoting gender equality.
SDG 6
Clean Water & Sanitation
By minimizing deforestation caused by traditional fuel sources, our LPG solutions contribute to conserving water resources and ensuring clean water access for communities.
SDG 7
Affordable &
Clean Energy
Our business model has been customized to ensure the accessibility and affordability of LPG as a clean cooking solution for households and businesses, both in cities and marginalized communities.
SDG 8
Decent Work &
Economic Growth
Our initiatives create employment opportunities in the distribution, retail, and support sectors, supporting decent work and fostering economic growth in Tanzania. We primarily focus on creating employment opportunities for youth and women in our communities while promoting workplace diversity.
SDG 9
Industry, Innovation
& Infrastructure
Through innovative distribution models and infrastructure development of distribution centres, we contribute to the growth of the clean energy industry, fostering innovation and building sustainable infrastructure.
SDG 10
Reduced
Inequalities
By making clean energy accessible to diverse socioeconomic groups, we work towards reducing inequalities, ensuring everyone has equal opportunities for improved living standards.
SDG 11
Sustainable Cities
& Communities
Promoting clean cooking in urban and rural areas reduces air pollution, contributing to the development of sustainable, healthier, and more livable cities and communities.
SDG 12
Responsible Consumption & Production
We encourage sustainable and responsible consumption patterns by investing heavily in the awareness creation of LPG for clean cooking and creating distribution centres, especially in isolated rural areas, to ensure the accessibility of LPG for consumers.
SDG 13
Climate Action
LPG is cleaner than wood fuel because it has lower particulate matter emissions. Reducing reliance on traditional fuels helps mitigate deforestation and lower carbon emissions, supporting climate action efforts and environmental conservation.
SDG 15
Life on Land
Preserving forests and natural habitats by reducing demand for firewood conserves terrestrial ecosystems and biodiversity, supporting life on land.
SDG 17
Partnerships
for the Goals
We collaborate with communities,
NGOs, and governmental bodies to achieve our SDG-aligned initiatives, fostering partnerships for sustainable development goals.
